Professor Wang Qilong graduated from Shandong University (SU) in 1984 with bachelor degree in chemistry and obtained both his master and doctoral degrees in Poistiers University France. His doctoral thesis won Prix de These CNRS, issued by CNRS and Ministry of Education of France.
Professor Wang came to his current position as Vice President of SU in 2002. His previous posts include associate dean of School of Chemistry SU, executive associate dean of Graduate School SU.
Being a renowned professor in chemistry, Dr. Wang’s major fields of research are heterogeneous, catalysis and nanomaterials. Research programs and projects led by him are among those elite national programs that received supporting funds from Foundation of Natural Science of China, Foundation of Excellent Young Teachers of Ministry of Education, Foundation for Returning Overseas Chinese, and Scientific and Technological Planning of Shandong Province respectively. All these programs have achieved sound social and economic effects.
