Professor Zhang Jing graduated from Nankai University with bachelor degree in Modern Chinese History in 1983. She obtained her PhD in the same university in 2000.

Professor Zhangjing was appointed vice president of Nankai University in 2002. Her previous positions include deputy director, general office of university council, executive vice director, party school of Nankai University, vice chairperson of university council.
