To register for any of the following programs, please visit the Recreation Center Administration offices, located on the second floor of the Gymansium Building, any time between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Fitness Edge: Boot Camp
Dates and Times:
- May 19—August 1 (10 weeks)
- Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:15–7:15 a.m.
- 29 classes—all meet at the Rice Track Stadium Unless otherwise noted
- (No classes the week of July 4)
- Cost:
$140 - Faculty/Staff/Comm.
$70 - Students
Fitness Edge Boot Camp is a results-driven conditioning program. It is conducted in an indoor/outdoor environment, utilizing a military-style format, coupled with the most progressive, innovative, and creative exercises in fitness.
This class will push you to your limits-and force your body to change. These fast and furious workouts are all you need to get into the best shape of your life. Dynamic and different every day, this program will keep you guessing but always give you a great workout.
Boot Camp workouts include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular, speed and endurance training, strength training, partner resistance exercises, agility work, and the old stand by: stairs. We expand your fitness horizons with fitness games, group challenges, wheelbarrow races, medicine ball drills, plyometrics, box drills, fartleks, obstacle courses, guerilla drills, and multiple versions of the military standard - push-ups and sit ups!

Tai Chi
Dates and Times:
- May 20—July 31 (10 weeks)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7–8 a.m.
- Meets in the Group Fitness Room
- (No classes the week of July 4)
- Cost:
$100 - Faculty/Staff/Comm.
$50 - Students
Tai Chi combines movement, meditation, and breath regulation to enhance the flow of vital energy in the body, improve blood circulation, and enhance immune functions. Tai Chi is one of the most broadly applicable systems of self-care in the world.

Women on Weights
Dates and Times:
- June 17—July 31 (6 weeks)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8–9 a.m.
- Meets in the Weight Room
- (No classes the week of July 4)

$30 - Students
$60 - Faculty/Staff/Comm.
This women only class will educate women on the purpose and importance of strength training. We will cover proper strength training techniques, correct body alignment and various formats for strength training programs.

The Art of Spine Exercises
Dates and Times:
- July 8–31 (4 weeks)
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6–7 a.m.
- Meets in the Harjo Dance Studio
- (No classes the week of July 4)
- Cost:
$25 - Students
$45 - Faculty/Staff/Comm.
Spine exercising techniques were developed by Professor Ronggen Sun and are based upon Tai Chi movements, Chi Kung martial arts, Chinese medicine, and spinal anatomy. The series of gentle turning and stretching exercises distribute nutrients into the disc space and soft tissue in the back to keep the discs, muscles, ligaments and joints healthy.
