New Data Center
Information Technology and Rice's Facilities, Engineering, and Planning division are in the process of building a new Data Center for Rice University. After an extensive pre-design effort, the design and construction funding for this project was approved by Rice's Board of Trustees in early 2006. The anticipated completion date for the new data center is June 2007. At that time, Information Technology will begin the process of relocating Rice computing infrastructure and data storage systems to the new facility.
