Owlnet Labs & Equipment

Rice students, faculty and instructors alike utilize technology resources in Owlnet classrooms and labs as well as in the course management system, Owl-Space.  Computers in the Owlnet classrooms and labs are equipped with software used in Rice courses, which means that students are not required to purchase their own copies. Owl-Space features syllabi, course notes, discussion forums, and many more course-related technology tools.

Podiums

Projectors, screens, microphones and other technology tools can be accessed through electronic podiums in enhanced classrooms and labs.

Reserve

• Reserve Lab Form - Complete this form to reserve a technology-enhanced classroom or lab

Course Pages

Many instructors post class notes, syllabi, and other resources in class pages in OwlSpace.  When students or instructors log into OwlSpace with your Rice NetID and password, each of your courses (which have been activated in OwlSpace) will automatically appear as a tab in the top navigation bar in your workspace.  If one of your courses does not appear, it may not have been activated by the instructor.  Contact Educational Technologies (edtech at rice.edu) for assistance with course pages.
