The majority of the information presented on Owlnet is an introduction to the Rice network. There is a wealth of information, however, for those that are computer savvy. Some of this information is presented below.

Owlnet Servers

The following is a list of servers available to the general Owlnet community. While there are other servers that provide services to Owlnet, these are the only ones that provide shell access. Background jobs will be killed on servers on which they are not allowed. These servers accept SSH and SFTP connections only. If you need to connect, via SSH, SFTP from OFF-Campus, you must connect
to Rice first via VPN and your VPN account.
