To dial an on campus number, simply dial the 4-digit extension number.
Making a Long Distance Call
Lift: Handset
Dial: 89 + 1 + Area Code + Number
To Place a Call on Hold
Press: Switchhook about 3 seconds
Hear special dial tone
Dial: # + 4
Hang Up
Your call is now on hold: If you hang up your phone rings intermittently to remind you; if you do not hang up, there is no ring.
To Return to a Call on Hold
Lift: Handset
OR
If you did not hang up
Press: Switchhook flash
Making a Conference (3-Party) Call
While on a call:
Press: Switchhook flash
Hear special dial tone
Dial: Number or extension of the party you wish to add to the
conference.
Press: Switchhook flash to connect
Note: The maximum is a total of 3 parties (including yourself).
Transferring a Call
Press: Switchhook flash
The other party is on hold and you hear special dial tone
Dial: Extension number
You can announce caller in privacy
Hang up
Message Waiting
When Message Waiting indication is given (audible signal of stutter dial tone)
Dial: 3000 to reach the Voicemail system.
