Printing Guide for Rice University Faculty and Departments
When purchasing a printer for use in Rice offices or work areas, the suggestions below should provide a few basic guidelines. If you need to purchase a larger or more capable printer than those listed below, or you have any special printing needs, please contact the Help Desk. Our support staff can help you understand specifications, suggest printer models and discuss support options with you.

HP Printers for Individual and Group Use

Other brands to consider include Lexmark, Brother, Canon and Epson. For campus work, be wary of low-end printers such as HP's 1300 series or below. Printers in the low-end of a range do not usually withstand the demands of office printing requirements for a satisfactory length of time.
