LabVIEW License Period

LABVIEW's period runs from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. The current version available is 8.2.

LabVIEW License Cost

There is no cost for this license. IT has a LabVIEW campus-wide agreement which allows installation of software on all Rice owned computers, including both teaching and research computers on the university campus.

LabVIEW Installation

Users need to submit a request at helpdesk@rice.edu for installation of the software. Be sure to include your building, room number, and your contact information. A divisional representative should contact you within 24 hours.

LabVIEW Home Use

Faculty and staff may install program on a personal computer. These licenses should be used for academic related applications only.

For installation on home computers, students may acquire a copy of the LabVIEW Student Edition. Details are at http://www.ni.com/labviewse.
