[Fwd: zeta question]

Hi Daniel : did you ever get a volunteer to try to gather the
LCSH headings for Jake? I did a bit of poking around in ZetaPerl and
discovered that it isn't able to deliver MARC in transmission format
(the 'long line' of data that MARC.pm understands). However, it
shouldn't be too difficult to grab the LCSH terms using Zeta by itself.
If you can supply me with a list of ISSNs I can give it a try... //Ed

        Yes, but you need to hack the code, or wait for the next release.
        I had already implemented such feature for our new gateway.
        But I hadn't released the new version.
        If you are en experienced C/Perl programmer you could try
        it yourself by a small modification in zutils.c
        (functions buildrecords() and external2a())

        I you are interested in the latest Zeta Perl version I hope
        to release a new package in few weeks.
