The focus is on the use of marginal analysis in decision-making.  We
analyze the determinants of consumer demand and production costs and how
to set price and output.  We study various possible ways to price with
market power.  Subsequently, the focus shifts to the role of incentives
and the three elements of organizational design--assignment of decision
rights, performance evaluations , and incentive compensation--and how a
well-desinged organizational structure can deal with incentive conflicts
within the firm.
