HANS 185 TECHNOLOGY IN BUSINESS:A COUNSULTING PER Credits 3.00 Fall 00
This class will introduce students to technology as it relates to business.
Specifically, the course will introduce students to concepts common in
information technology consulting. The class will provide students with both
career direction and academic enrichment. Topics will be drawn from real
world experiences, and will range from career paths to somewhat technical
discussions. No technical background is assumed. The main focus
of the class
will be to apply the readings and lectures to the two major projects, which
will be conducted as consulting engagements, involving a great deal of
teamwork. This class is taught during the fall semester by Chad Hersh,
Projects Director for the E-business group of American General. It is highly
recommended for any student considering pursuing a career in consulting.
