BAKE 239   DOCUMENTING CULTURES THROUGH THE CAMERA' Credits 3.00  Fall 01
This course will focus on telling stories, interpreting experiences, and
getting to know one's self as the "other". It is designed specifically for Rice
undergraduates planning to spend time abroad, although students interested in
domestic cross-cultural interaction as well as in filmmaking are also welcome.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with a strategy to
address the re-making of self which can occur in encounters with another
culture. They will also become participants in an ongoing project to integrate
experiences abroad with Rice's campus culture.
