ARAB 102 INTRODUCTION TO MODERN ARABIC LANGUAGE A Credits 5.00 Spring 01
This is the continuation of ARAB 101. In this class students will be introduced
to a wide range of context-related vocabulary as well as to some cultural
aspects related to the Arab world. Students will be able to give information
about themselves and others, about daily practices and routines, as well as
express simple opinions about general matters. Each lesson includes a
conversational section, reading and comprehension exercises, in addition to the
introduction of basic grammatical construction. Language Lab required.
Prereq- Arabic 101 or permission of instructor.

ARAB 202 INTERMEDIATE MODERN ARABIC LANGUAGE AND Credits 4.00 Spring 01

This is the continuation of ARAB 201. It focuses on reading and discussing
texts that vary in topics and forms. Students will be able to express
individual thoughts and opinions about various literary excerpts. Writing will
be used as a tool of communicating ideas related to topics discussed in the
classroom, or topics real individually. This class also focuses on etymology
and the use of the dictionary. Culture-related issues will be included in
classroom discussions and readings.
