cultural readings serve as a basis for class discussion and composition;
includes several Italian Cinema masterpieces and Opera excerpts. Enrollment is

ITAL 399   TEATRO ITALIANO DA MACHIAVELLI A FO      Credits 4.00  Spring 03
This class will focus on the development of "La burla" in italian theater from
the Renaissance to contemporary theater. Readings include Machiavelli's
"Mandragola", Goldoni's "Bugiardo" and Pirandello's  "Six characters in search
