BAKE 303 RICE UNIVERSITY: HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES Credits 3.00 Fall 03
A study of of the reasons for the founding of the university, its early
history, the development of its programs, the history of student life, sports,
and involvement in the community. The history of Rice will be placed in the
context both of university development nationwide and the local situation.
Emphasis will be on student research papers utilizing the Rice archives and
other relevant sources to investigate various aspects of the institution's
history.
