Second-semester Arabic builds vocabulary while presenting more advanced
grammatical constructions. Each lesson includes reading and comprehension
exercises emphasizing spoken as well as written Arabic.  Language lab required.

Second-year Arabic emphasizes etymology and introduces students to the Arabic
dictionary.  Students develop proficiency in reading and writing. Language lab
required.

Continues Arab 201's focus on etymology. Exploration of the classical roots of
Modern Standard Arabic promotes students' awareness of cultural and historical
contexts.  Language lab required.
