Thanksgiving Break

If your Thanksgiving Break travel plans include trips to Hobby or Intercontinental Airport you will want to check the following websites:

Shuttle Schedule to Hobby Airport (on Wednesday & Sunday only)

Instructions on how to use your Metro Q-Card to get to either airport on any date

Instructions on how to get to popular destinations using Metro if you are staying in Houston without a car

If you haven’t picked up your Metro Q-Card yet, they are available for FREE to current undergraduate students in the Cashier’s Office in the Allen Center with your Rice ID.

The Student Center will have limited hours for Thanksgiving Break.

Wednesday, November 25th 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Thursday, November 26th - Saturday, November 28th Closed
Sunday, November 29th 5 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Fall hours will resume on Monday, November 30th.

Mid Term Recess Hours

October 8, 2009

The Student Center will have limited hours for Mid Term Recess.

Monday, October 12th 7 a.m. - Midnight
Tuesday, October 13th 7 a.m. - Midnight

Fall hours will resume on Wednesday, October 14th.

Labor Day Holiday Hours

Friday, September 4th 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, September 5th Closed
Sunday, September 6th Closed
Monday, September 7th 5 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Fall hours will resume on Tuesday September 8th.

Hopefully you’ve noticed the new lounge furniture in the Grand Hall Lobby since you’ve returned. To show off the changes in the retail operations located in the Student Center, we are hosting “Owl Give Ya Week,” which will be September 8th- 11th.

Tuesday- Free smoothies and sandwiches at Sammy's and 13th Street from 6:30-8 p.m.
Wednesday - Free coffee and munchies at Coffeehouse from 1-3 p.m.
Thursday - Free sliders as well as $1 Nachos and $1 Pizza by the slice at Willy's Pub from 7-9:30 p.m.
Friday - One Day Sale and raffle at the University Bookstore from 9a.m.-4p.m.
