The Paintings

Mark Cottle received a Masters in Architecture from Rice University and continued his graduate studies at Harvard for a Masters in Design Studies and in contemporary theory and criticism. He also spent a year traveling abroad in India, for which he was awarded the Dinkeloo Fellowship and the Steeman Fellowship. He is currently working as an associate professor at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on the work of several contemporary architectural practices in Switzerland, Japan, and Iberia (Spain/Portugal). His current artistic productions share this interest. They are explored through installation works that employ hand-made bead curtains, paper clips, and digitally-manipulated imagery.
