"Proud purveyors of America's most socially acceptable drug," the Coffeehouse won't let you
down before that take-home exam at midnight. Peddling such wares as espresso, cappuccino, hot
tea and your plain ole cup of joe, the Coffeehouse will satisfy caffeine cravings and also
accommodate decaf lovers. The Coffeehouse is a student-run business that occasionally hosts a
wide variety of performances - watch the calendar on the nearby bulletin board. They also
cater small meetings; call x8073. The Coffeehouse accepts cash and Tetra points.

The Student Center has a full-service Chase automated teller machine located in the Sammy's/Coffeehouse Lobby.
Located next to the Coffeehouse, these boards are usually packed with interesting announcements: items for sale, job openings, or meeting notices. Go to the Information Desk to have fliers approved for posting.
Check your e-mail or surf the web at the computer lab located right
outside of the Academic Advising Office or any of the three conveniently located iMac express
terminals outside Sammy's and at the Information Desk.
Also, on the lower level, the Student Organizations Resource Center houses a lab with three PCs, three Macs,
and an Owlnet printer. See their section for more information.
Located on the lower level, across from FedEx Kinko's, is a coin copier to assist with those last minute copy needs. Black and white copies cost $.10/each.
Courtesy phones are located throughout the Student Center facility. Please dial the last for digits for on-campus calls or "9" to access an outside local line.
The Information Desk is a valuable resource center for those who are lost, bored or uninformed. Please visit them at their Web site.
Day lockers are available for all patrons to use. These lockers are located outside the Campus Store. The service is free to all Rice community members.

a printer, comfortable seating and a work table are available for student organizations.
Please note: The SORC is available for 24-hour access. However, to obtain this, organization presidents
must e-mail a list of their members to Pam Shefman, Associate Director of the
Student Center, at pamelyn [at] rice.edu. Students do NOT need to be members of any specific organization to use the space
during normal Student Center operating hours.
Please see the Student Organization Resource Center Space Application and Use Guidelines.
Soda and snack vending machines are located next to Willy's Pub in the basement.
Portable access to e-mail and the Internet is an immediate benefit. The wireless system requires a valid Rice computing account and password, as well as device specific authentication.
