The Grand Hall Lobby glass doors are available to be painted to advertise your student organization's upcoming event. In addition, the space above the Grand Hall entrance doors is available for posters/advertisements/banners to be hung. If you're interested in reserving either of these spaces, please visit Banner and Painting Reservations.
Looking to hold your student organization meeting in the Student Center? You can reserve any number of our available rooms.
Are you a registered club and need space NOT located in the Student Center? You can request a room NOT in the Student Center.
If your organization wants to have a food or bake sale, please read our Guidelines for Food Handling and fill out a Registration Form. You also must reserve a table with scevents@rice.edu. Please note, the Student Center only approves indoor bake sales. Outdoors bake sales must be approved by the City of Houston.
If your organization has an office in the Student Center, please view our available resources.
In addition to the Clubs Office recently moved to
the Cloisters (see map), there is a Student Organizations
Resource Center and storage area in the basement of the RMC. Six Owlnet terminals,
a printer, comfortable seating and a work table are available for student organizations.
Please note: The SORC is available for 24-hour access. However, to obtain this, organization presidents
must e-mail a list of their members to Pam Shefman, Associate Director of the
Student Center, at pamelyn [at] rice.edu. Students do NOT need to be members of any specific organization to use the space
during normal Student Center operating hours.
The SORC currently has three office spaces that can be leased, free of charge, from the Student Center. However, they must be applied for each year, and when occupied, must organizations maintain office hours:
Please see the Student Organization Resource Center Space Application and Use Guidelines.
