SA Business

The Student Association Senate met Monday. The following were discussed:

* The Senate will be holding a retreat to discuss appropriations policy, constitutional and elections code changes on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the `R' Room of Rice Stadium.

* The Off-Campus Housing Guide will be distributed by April 14.

* President Maryana Iskander announced nine 1995-96 Senate committee members (they haven't been assigned to committees yet): Jennie Leslie, Sarah Stafford, Carmen Peralta, Nate Blair, Al Suarez, Tricia Waldrum, Tara Miller, Packy Saunders and Stella Flores.

* The Senate approved Iskander's appointments of Scott Ruthfield as senate parliamentarian and Kara Miller as senate executive vice president.

* Treasurer Michael Munson announced three changes to the proposed budget submitted last week. The amended budget passed unanimously.

* Iskander discussed the highlights of a meeting on improving the shuttle bus service. (See story page 1)

* The SA voted to loan $500 to the Senior Committee for the Senior Gala.

Next meeting: Monday at 10 p.m. in the Kelley Lounge at the Student Center
