NEWS IN BRIEF: Silver Saver cards out
With 37 businesses on the card, SA External Vice President Tony Tran was forced to make the card double-sided for the first time ever. One side of the card contains deals from 20 area businesses who offer an array of entertainment and services from the Houston Astros to Reynolds Barber Shop. The other side contains 17 restaurants including newcomers Spaghetti Warehouse, Subway and Zuzu's. Two other businesses had expressed interest in the card but were late in reserving a spot on the card.
Tran is currently looking at different ways to get the two businesses added onto students' cards at minimal expense. The cards are being distributed to the student body by campus mail throughout the first week of school; cards will be available to faculty and graduate students no later than the second week of school. Five thousand cards were printed.
