Dean of Students, Associate Dean for Student Affairs switch offices

by George Hatoun

At the direction of Vice President for Student Affairs Zenaido Camacho, two high-ranking Student Affairs members switched offices this summer.

Associate Dean for Student Affairs Patricia Martin, who previously worked in Academic Advising, moved to Dean of Students Sarah Burnett's office in Lovett Hall; Burnett moved to Martin's Student Center office.

The change coincides with the creation of a new position, director of international education. Martin, who will hold the new office, was happy about the change.

"I'm really excited ... it's really good to shake things up sometimes," Martin said.

Dean of Students Sarah Burnett has moved to the Student Center. She will work more closely with the University Court and the Honor Council, which have also moved to that building. Additionally, she will be closer to Judicial Affairs Officer Patty Bass.

"[Bass] is going to have primary responsibility for working with the college courts," Burnett said.
