Poetry
Crazy little squirrel,
as you scurry up a limb
you might consider for a moment
what you climb upon a whim
I must admit, I'm flattered
and I relish your attention
but I'm also somewhat pained
to be your object of ascension
So, I quietly implore you
to consider where you vaunt
although I have a trunk and limbs,
these aren't the nuts you want.
