Search to fill key positions

Searches are underway to fill key administrative positions at Rice. Computer Science Professor Ken Kennedy is chairing the search committee charged with finding candidates to fill the position of vice provost for research and graduate studies.

Biochemistry Professor Fred Rudolph is chairing the search committee for an associate provost, whose position will focus on diversity.

The two committees have until March 1 and March 15 respectively to provide the names of candidates to President Malcolm Gillis and Provost David Auston.

"We welcome nominations of either external or internal candidates," Kennedy said, "as well as comments and thoughts regarding the search or the nature of the position itself."
