Lamy earns post-graduate scholarship from the NCAA
Defensive back Jay Lamy continues to receive post-season honors. He has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship by the NCAA for post-graduate studies.
Earlier this year he was honored as a member of the College Football Association's Scholar-Athlete Team and as a first-team member of the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America squad.
The NCAA award is given to only 29 players each year. Lamy led the Rice secondary with 97 tackles this season.
