McGhee named SWC player of the week for Jan. 9

Senior guard Tommy McGhee was the first Owl this season to be named SWC player of the week.

His 35 points against the University of Texas televised by ESPN were a career high. He sank six of seven three-point attempts in that game.

McGhee is one of the nation's leaders from beyond the three-point stripe this season, shooting over 50 percent.Currently, McGhee is leading the Owls with 21.8 points per game.
