The Student Association Senate met Monday at 10 p.m. The following were discussed:

* The Senate passed a resolution which would establish a true minor system in addition to the coherent minor. The resolution will go to the Committee on the Undergraduate Curriculum.

* The university Emergency Medical Service requested a $400 contribution from each college to cover the cost of a complete medical equipment bag. If a college is unable to make the contribution, arrangements will be made so that the college will still have access to emergency response, although the college will probably not have its own equipment bag.

* The Rice Association of Transfer Students is sponsoring a petition to guarantee on-campus housing for incoming transfer students.

Next meeting: Monday at 10 p.m. in the Kelley Lounge of the Student Center.
