NEWS IN BRIEF: Study-abroad scholarships

The Houston Consular Ladies Club is donating funds for ten new study-abroad scholarships. There will be two scholarships worth $2,000, four worth $1,000 and four worth $500.

The funds will be available for students who wish to study abroad for either the fall of '96 or the full '96-'97 academic year.

Criteria include need and/or merit. Applications should be submitted to the Office of International Education in 101 Lovett Hall. The deadline is 5 p.m. on April 15.
