To the editor:

I applaud your editorial on Bill Hobby and only write to add one more piece of information.

Since 1989, Bill Hobby has held the Radoslov A. Tsanoff Chair of Public Affairs and has taught an undergraduate seminar on legislative policy in the Political Science Department. For his services, he has taken no salary.

Bill is currently on leave from Rice, and we all look forward to his return after his two-year term ends as chancellor of the University of Houston.
