8 -- 9:30 p.m. Class of '96 Convocation for degree candidates and guests; Shepherd School of Music Presidential Concert, Stude Concert Hall in Alice Pratt Brown Hall

9:30 -- 10:30 p.m. Presidential Reception for students, guests, faculty, staff, administration and friends, Alice Pratt Brown Hall

10:15 p.m. Fireworks

Saturday, May 11

7:45 a.m. Line up for commencement: B.A. and B.S. candidates in the residential colleges; all other degree candidates in Anderson Hall

8:30 -- 11:30 a.m. Commencement, Academic Quadrangle

The deadline for ordering regalia was March 1. If you have not ordered your regalia, please do so immediately. Regalia may be picked up at the Rice Campus Store May 6-10.

In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be held in Autry Court, and all degree candidates will assemble in Autry Gymnasium by 7:45 a.m. Each degree candidate will receive two tickets for the inclement weather plan. Tickets will not be necessary for the ceremony in the Academic Quad. Contact the Campus Police or campus operator after 7 on the morning of commencement confirmation.
