* Registration for continuing undergraduates and graduate students ends today.
* Do you want to receive your Campus Directory early? Then get your corrected Information Review Form (the green sheet in your mailbox) to the Registrar's Office by 5 p.m. today.
* Need some books? Stop by the book co-op held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Farnsworth Pavilion. Also visit the electronic book co-op at http://www.rice.edu/projects/SA/ecoop .
* Come to Autry Court at 7 p.m. to show your support for the volleyball team when they take on Kansas State at the Harvey Suites/Rice Invitational.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 7
* Pay a visit to the Zydeco Party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Brown College. There, you will enjoy a DJ, hurricanes (if you're old enough), virgin drinks, red beans and rice and a bunch of other cool stuff, including Shiner bock and Harp. So drop by and learn how to party Cajun-style.
* The Chinese Student Association is hosting a welcome back picnic from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Sid Richardson College picnic area. Anyone is welcome, and there will be a free barbecue dinner, volleyball, basketball and more.
* As part of the Harvey Suites/Rice Invitational, the volleyball team plays against Oregon at noon at Autry Court. Stay for the game against Ohio State at 7 p.m., also held at Autry Court.
SUNDAY, SEPT. 8
* Come and watch as the Houston Astros and the Colorado Rockies play out our national pastime at 1:35 p.m. at the Astrodome.
MONDAY, SEPT. 9
* Today is the final day of the book co-op, which lasts from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Farnsworth Pavilion. Also visit the electronic book co-op website at http://www.rice.edu/projects/SA/ecoop .
* The RSVP meeting begins at 9 p.m. in Miner Lounge in the Student Center.
* The SA meets at 10 p.m. in the Kelley Lounge in the Student Center.
* So you think you're smart, do you? Well, maybe you are. Test your knowledge of trivia at the College Bowl, a Q&A-type competition. Sign up today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Kyle Morrow Room in Fondren Library. Teams should have four members (or five if they want an optional alternate), or come by yourself and get teamed up later. The cost is $15 per team.
* Auditions for Lovett College's Little Shop of Horrors are being held in the college commons from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Prepare a song and bring its sheet music.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 10
* It's the last day for College Bowl sign-ups. They're from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Kyle Morrow Room in Fondren Library. The cost is $15 per four- or five-member team.
* Auditions for Hair begin at 8 p.m. in the Hanszen College commons. Prepare a song (preferably from a musical) and bring the accompanying sheet music.
* "You'll be a dentist." Lovett's Little Shop of Horrors auditions continue from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. tonight in the commons. Don't forget to prepare a song and bring its sheet music.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 11
* The Student Center Advisory Board holds a lunch concert at noon in the Student Center. Free.
* Auditions for Hair continue at 8 p.m. in the Hanszen commons. Prepare a song and bring the sheet music.
* Lovett's Little Shop of Horrors holds its last night of auditions from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the commons Be ready to sing. Bring sheet music.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 12
* The Astros play Philadelphia at 1:35 p.m. at the Astrodome. While it's not exactly the great outdoors, it's still baseball.
