LETTER: Article unfair to Jones School

by Quentin Masters

To the editor:

It is unfortunate that the article about the Jones Graduate School of Business Administration ("Unfinished Business," Thresher, Sept. 13) takes such a negative tone. It seems to minimize the point that the report was sought by Rice as critical review and was not intended to be a lovefest.

Moreover, the Thresher highlights comments from a junior faculty member whose contract was not renewed and appears to give those comments credence.

It appears to me the Thresher more likely loaned the person a gun for a cheap shot and then reported it.

You can do better, too.
