* Michael Holman, the author of the original story for the film Basquiat , will introduce its screening at 7:30 p.m. at the Rice Media Center. Admission is $4 with a student ID.

* This week is preregistration for undergraduate students for the spring semester.

* Dr. Zen and Carol Camacho host a "housewarming" study break that runs from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Duncan Hall, the new Computational Engineering Building. Free.

* As part of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week, a non-alcoholic pub night starts at 7:30 p.m. in Willy's Pub. Come and enjoy free soft drinks and games of pool during Monday Night Football.

TUESDAY, NOV. 12

* Picture Yourself, your chance to strike a pose for the Campanile , runs from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Grand Hall of the Student Center.

* A student panel will discuss the stereotypes and prejudices between drinkers and non-drinkers at 9 p.m. in Farnsworth Pavilion in the Student Center.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 13

* SCAB's Brown Bag Lunch Concert starts at noon in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center. Free.

* It's opening night for the Lovett musical, Little Shop of Horrors. The show begins at 8 p.m. in the Lovett College Commons. Admission is $4 for students, $5 otherwise.
