* The Southern Asian Society's Diwali Night includes dancing, live music, a tasty, catered Indian dinner and a play. It starts at 6 p.m. in the Grand Hall of the Student Center and costs $7.

* The final performance of Hair starts at 8 p.m. in the Hanszen College Commons.

* A double feature of Werner Herzog's films shows at the Rice Media Center. Land of Silence and Darkness begins at 7:30 p.m. Stay for Woyzeck at 9:15 p.m. Tickets for one or both films cost $3.50 with a student ID.
SUNDAY, NOV. 17
* See the men's basketball team play in an exhibition game against Athletes in Action at 2 p.m. at Autry Court.
* Macbeth plays at 7:30 p.m. at the Rice Media Center. Tickets cost $3.50 with a student ID.
MONDAY, NOV. 18
* Help prevent accidents and injuries to yourself. It's Barber Day in the Grand Hall Lobby of the Student Center. For $5, get those bangs chopped before you trip on them. $5 -- a small price to pay for safety and peace of mind.
* RSVP meets at 9 p.m. in Miner Lounge in the Student Center.
* The SA meeting begins at 10 p.m. in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center.
* A women's basketball exhibiton game against Houston Flight AAU begins at 7 p.m. at Autry Court.
TUESDAY, NOV. 19
* See Eve Andree Laramee's recently-opened exhibit, "Facts are Slippery," at the Rice Art Gallery. It runs through Dec. 15.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 20
* The Rice Players' black comedy, LOOT , starts at 8 p.m. in Hamman Hall.
THURSDAY, NOV. 21
* RPC's Issues and Intellect Committee shows a Holocaust documentary from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Farnsworth Pavilion in the Student Center. There is some graphic content in the film. Free refreshments provided.
* Come and see Little Shop of Horrors at 8 p.m. in the Lovett College Commons.
* The Rice Players' black comedy, LOOT , starts at 8 p.m. in Hamman Hall.
* Featuring music by Poulenc and Lavery, the Shepherd School Opera presents Dialogues of the Carmelites at 7:30 p.m. in Wortham Opera Theatre at Alice Pratt Brown Hall. Tickets cost $7 and can be obtained by calling 527-4933.
