* Dig out your cowboy boots and come to Hanszen College's kicker party from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the Hanszen Commons for hours of great country music and kicker dancing. Free.
* After your sponsored fast for World Hunger Day yesterday, come and chow down on Bruegger's Bagels this morning in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center. Free, but only for sponsored fasters.
* Help kick off the basketball season by coming to the Jungle Gym Jam, the equivalent of last year's Midnight Madness. Free T-shirts will be handed out. See the men's basketball team play Houston Baptist University at 7:35 p.m. at Autry Court. At halftime, one lucky student will have a shot at $10,000. Stay after the game for free pizza and soft drinks.
* The Lovett College musical, Little Shop of Horrors , starts at 8 p.m. in the Lovett Commons. Tickets cost $4 for students, $5 for others.
* The Rice Players' production of LOOT begins at 8 p.m. in Hamman Hall. Admission is $4 for students, $8 otherwise. For ticket info., call 527-4040.
* A Match Made in Heaven , a play by David Nathan, starts at 8 p.m. in the Wiess College Commons. Tickets are $3 for students, $4 for non-students.
* Hear the piano played as never before. The SYZYGY, New Music at Rice concert, "Beyond the Ivories," features modern music by American composers. What makes it unique is the piano will be played conventionally, but will also be strummed, plucked and bowed. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.
* Fun , a film about two teenage girls who kill a nice old lady, plays at 7:30 p.m. and again at 9:40 p.m. at the Rice Media Center. The cost is $4 with a student ID, $5 otherwise.
SATURDAY, NOV. 23
