FRIDAY, FEB. 21

* It's the deadline for submitting college course plans to the vice president for student affairs.

* Watch the action as the men's tennis team faces the University of Texas at San Antonio at 2:30 p.m. at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.

* Spend some time watching the baseball team take on the University of Cincinnati in the Big Ball Sports Classic. The team takes the field for the tournament at 4:30 p.m. at Cameron Field.

* Rice Dance Theatre presents "Syncopated Footprints" at 8 p.m. in Harjo Studio in the gym. Reservations are strongly recommended. Ticket prices are $5 for students and $7 for all others. Send e-mail to kristina@owlnet .

* Aleksander Fredro's stage play The Vengeance will be perfomed by the Youth Theater of the Polish Educational and Cultural Center in Houston at 8 p.m. in the Baker College Commons.

* The play Two Rooms continues in the Jones College Commons at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow. Tickets are $4.

* Chances are slim that he will appear in person, but you can still check out Roman Polanski's classic Rosemary's Baby at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Rice Media Center. Tickets are $4.50. Get a spiffy $1 discount with a Rice ID.

SATURDAY, FEB. 22

* The DJs will be pumping the party hard at Sid Richardson College from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Head on over to Tower Party, which features different music and events on each of the seven floors. Tickets are $3 in advance and $4 at the door.

* Get up early to support the sophomore students of the School of Architecture as they raise money for their spring break trip with "Race/Walk for Paris." Registration for the event costs $4 in advance or $5 when the race begins at 7 a.m. in front of the Sallyport in Founder's Court.

* Check out the Rice crew team in the Rice Invitational Regatta. Tulane and the University of Texas at Austin will be attending. Races start at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 2:30 p.m. Take I-45 South to Nasa Road One, go left at the stoplight and past the bridge to Clear Lake.

* The Big Ball Sports Classic continues with the baseball team facing Oklahoma State University at Cameron Field at 1 p.m.

* The University of Tulsa comes to campus to take on the men's tennis team at 1:30 p.m. at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.

* Make a fast break for the men's basketball game as they take on Brigham Young University at Autry Court at 7:35 p.m.

* Are you interested in all things Bolivian? Then check out Ernesto Che Guevara: The Bolivian Diary at the Rice Media Center. The movie plays at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $5. Get a $1 discount with a Rice ID.

SUNDAY, FEB. 23

* Load up on soul food at the Black Student Association's "Black Cuisine" event at 3 p.m. in the Will Rice College Commons. Donate a dish and receive free admission. Ticket prices are $3 for students, $4 for faculty and staff and $5 for the general public.

* Watch more of the Big Ball Sports Classic as the baseball team takes on Northwestern Louisiana State University at Cameron Field at 3:30 p.m.

* Marcello Mastroianni stars in Dark Eyes at 7:30 p.m. at the Rice Media Center. Tickets cost $4.50. Get a $1 discount with a Rice ID.

MONDAY, FEB. 24

* The RSVP meeting begins at 9 p.m. in Miner Lounge in the Student Center.

* Watch the fireworks fly when the SA meets at 10 p.m. in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center.

* Dick Vitale may not be there, but you can still check out the game, baby! The men's basketball team hosts the University of Utah at Autry Court at 11 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.

* Pianist Deborah Bradley from New York University presents a guest recital at 8 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.

TUESDAY, FEB. 25

* Start the wave at Cameron Field when the baseball team faces Prairie View A&M University at 2 p.m.

* Robert Roux's piano students will tickle the ivories in a class recital at 6 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 26

* Baritone Robert Granlund presents an advanced recital at 5:45 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.

THURSDAY, FEB. 27

* Cellist Hikaru Tamaki presents a junior recital featuring the music of Vitali, Beethoven and Toshiro Mayuzumi at 6 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.

* Cellist Corrine Cassini performs the music of Haydn, Hindemith and Brahms in a junior recital at 8 p.m. in Duncan Recital Hall. Free.
