The Student Association Senate met Monday. The following
were discussed:
* Nominations are being sought from Rice students for the Julia Mile Chance Prize for Excellence in Teaching. Interested students should submit a letter of nomination to the Rice Women's Commission by this afternoon. * Applications for SA committee members are now available on the door of the SA office. Applications are due March 19 by 5 p.m. Applicants must sign up for an interview when they return the application. Interviews will take place on March 22, and candidates will be notified on the following Sunday of the results. * Rondelet is Saturday night at the Marathon Oil Building in the Galleria area. There will be shuttles departing from the Sallyport. Tickets for the dance are $20 apiece, $40 for couples, available from your college Rice Program Council rep. * All Wellness Center classes are half price from now until the end of the semester. * Career Advisor applications are available in the college offices and are due March 21. Come eat free pizza every Wednesday and learn about Career Services. Next meeting: Monday, at 10 p.m. in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center.
