The Student Association Senate met Monday. The following
were discussed:
* Envision Grants applications are available online at www.rice.edu leadership or in the Office of Academic Advising. Applications are due 8 a.m. Sept. 29. * All student organizations need to register for 1997-'98 by going to the Student Activities Web page. * The Career Services Center sponsored a Liberal Arts Job Search Orientation on Sept. 25 at 4:30 pm in Sewall Hall, Room 309. This orientation session covered job search information and CSC resources for liberal arts majors interested in careers in industries not typically included in the campus recruiting program such as publishing, journalism, advertising, government, law and teaching. For more information, please contact Cheryl Matherly at cheryl@rice or at 527-4055. Next meeting: Monday at 10 p.m. in Kelley Lounge in the Student Center.
