Turning the corner
Sophomore guard Michael Walton (11) beats sophomore guard Omar-Seli Mance off the dribble in Sunday's annual Blue-Gray intrasquad scrimmage. Mance scored 10 points to help lead the Blue team, made up mainly of Rice's projected starting lineup, to a 70-36 runaway win over Walton's Gray squad. The Owls, who hosted the Houston Flyers last night in the first of two exhibition games, tip off the 2000-'01 season Nov 18. at the U.S. Naval Academy.
