With academic schedules like those, Adaba,
Will, Jennine, and Marc probably can’t wait until graduation
day, when they’ll march through the Sallyport and head
straight for professional life. They must daydream about full-hour
lunch breaks, leisurely chats around the water cooler, and two-week
paid vacations. To Rice students, balancing busy careers and
hectic family lives must seem like heaven compared to juggling
rigorous academics, extracurricular activities, and social lives,
while chasing the ever-evasive sandman.
The grass is always greener, isn’t it?
The next installment of Class will be featured in the spring
2003 issue of Sallyport.
