The search box, located in the upper right hand corner of all of the search pages, the Advanced Search and the Search Tips links are all context sensitive.

For example:

• If you are on the People tab and enter a name in the search box, the Rice Directory will be searched and the appropriate results displayed.
  
• If you are on the Web tab and enter a value in the search box, the Rice web will be searched and the appropriate results displayed.
  
• If you are on the People tab and select the Advanced Search link, you will be taken to a page that will allow you to perform an advanced search of the Rice Directory.
  
• If you are on the Web tab and select the Advanced Search link, you will be taken to a page that will allow you to preform an advanced search of the Rice Web.
  

Another convience is that if you are on a tab, say the Web tab, and want to search for a person, all you have to do is enter the person's name in the search box and then click on the People tab. The person will be searched for automatically.

If you are on the People tab and wish to search for another person, then all you need to do is enter the new name in the search box and click on the Go button.
