Volunteer Opportunities Fair

This fair has been moved closer to the beginning of the academic year and will focus mainly on volunteer opportunities with community agencies.  This will be the most effective means of recruitment for volunteers and will allow students to meet one-on-one with agency staff to talk about specific community needs.  In deciding whether or not to participate in this event, please consider the time commitment you are asking students to make, your distance from campus, accessibility of public transportation to your site, and overall support you can offer volunteers.

Thursday, September 18
2:00-5:00pm
Rice Memorial Center (RMC) Grand Hall

Good Works Internship and Career Fair

This fair will focus on the internship, career, and year of service opportunities offered by community agencies.  In order to facilitate the recruitment of students early in the spring semester, this event has been set to coincide with the timeline of Houston's ExxonMobil internships.  While there may be some students looking for summer volunteer placements, participating agencies at this event should expect that students are looking for paid employment opportunities.
