Operations Center
The Operations Center, located at 109 Mudd Lab, is staffed 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Staff can be reached by phone at 713.348.4989.
Services include:
- monitor local network and connections to regional networks
- maintain printers and dispatch output to appropriate bin or location
- special printing requests, including color printing and dye sublimation
- locate and mount tape mass storage volumes on tape devices for backups
- monitor various control panels (fire alarm system, UPS system, electrical power distribution systems, etc.)
- mount and monitor videotapes for the Rice University Cable Television channels
- checkout audiovisual equipment
