Dip into the Portal at RiceFest, April 12

The new Rice Portal -- http://my.rice.edu/ -- provides convenient links to popular Rice web pages. Rice students and employees can also customize it to include other favorite sites.

Stop by the IT table at Rice Fest and dip in two ways: dip marshmallows into chocolate fondue and enjoy your snack while you dip into the Portal demonstration and try out the new application!

Rice Web Forum - April 20, 2:00 p.m. in RMC Miner Lounge

This month's Rice Web Forum will feature web survey tools. David Stagg (RMC and Recreation Center) will talk about Survey Monkey and Jeff Frey (IT's Web Services) will discuss customized web surveys. The forum is co-sponsored by Public Affairs and Web Services with the idea of providing an information-sharing venue for campus web site creators and maintainers. Microsoft Campus Agreement (MSCA) Enrollment through April 30

For only $47 per FTE per year, Rice departments can license the Microsoft Desktop Bundle. The license year runs April 1 through March 30 and previously enrolled departments are automatically re-enrolled each April.
