Classroom and lab computers wiped clean December 20
In order to prepare classroom and lab computers for spring 2008, IT will roll out the new desktop images on December 20. When classroom and lab computers and podiums are re-imaged, existing files and data stored on these computers are erased in the process. If you stored important information on a podium or other classroom or lab computer, please move it by Wednesday, December 19.
Podium login changes over winter break
The generic podium login is being phased out. As of January 1, 2008 only actual Podium computers (those used by faculty to teach in Rice classrooms) will accept this login. All other IT-administered computers will require NetID logins.
Conversations with IT coming to a building near you
