IT CAMPUS UPDATE: July 24, 2007
Systems Move to New Data Center Beginning July 27, 2007
Rice systems and applications will begin their migration from the downtown data center to the new primary data center at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27.
Announcements will be made via the alldepts email list 48 business hours prior to any planned outages during these weekend migrations.

Order Scientific and EndNote Software Now
Information Technology (IT) continuously negotiates with vendors for campus-wide software licenses and volume discounts.
On Monday, July 30, we will place a group order for a minimum of 50 EndNote licenses (software tool for publishing and managing bibliographies). The deadline to order through your department coordinator* is Friday, July 27.
In addition, scientific software licenses are available for Rice or personal faculty computers for the following applications:
- SAS, valid from July 1-June 30; $100.00
- SPSS, valid from June 1-May 31; $150.00 (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Scientific Workplace, valid from August 1-July 31; $75.00
