Counselors in the Wellbeing Office and the Rice Counseling Center are available to assist anyone who may need support.

You can stop by their offices without an appointment, or you can contact them anytime (day or night) at 713-348-3311 or wellbeing@rice.edu. They also schedule virtual appointments. 

For urgent concerns, please call us at 713-348-3311 (available 24/7).

For on-campus emergencies, contact RUPD/REMS at 713-348-6000 (available 24/7) or for off-campus calls, call 911.

The Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center also provides a Rice Recreation Wellness Program to help the campus community along the path to a vibrant, healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Faculty and Staff seeking support are encouraged to contact Rice’s Employee Assistance Program at 713-500-3327 (available 24/7).

With the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Rice employees and their loved ones (living in the same household) can access free, convenient, and confidential services on a variety of different topics. Some of the services Rice’s EAP offers include counseling sessions with a licensed mental health professional, legal and financial resources, WorkLife referrals, and more. All EAP services are private and completely confidential.
